When Jil Koller isn’t homeschooling or helping to run the children’s program at church, she is debating with her fictional characters . . . and losing.

Jil began serving in church when she was twelve years old, and after teaching through the Bible a bazillion times, bringing God’s word to life through storytelling is still her favorite thing to do.

Jil lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband and four kids, where they mountain bike, kayak, cliff jump, and snowboard together. She is a Reading Specialist with a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and Master of Education. She loves to speak at homeschool conferences where she equips and encourages other parents.

Heart of a Bowman, book one of her debut fantasy trilogy, the Vertical Horizon Series, won a 2024 Foundation Award in YA fiction. It is Jil’s greatest hope that her stories would echo the gospel and point readers to Christ.
