This has been quite a year. After various natural disasters, violent attacks, sickness, and social injustices, many have been shaken with fear. In times like these, it can be difficult to hold faith that God will keep us and our loved ones safe. Little voices in the backs of our minds ask, “What if this is the time He says no to my prayers?”  I have not escaped the fear our Christian body has experienced over the past several months. But I hope to share the promises I have held to during the chaos. No mortal can take from you what God has planned.   In 1 Samuel 19, Saul was so jealous of David that he attempted to kill him. Several times, in fact. But God had plans for David to become one of history’s greatest kings, and protected him against Saul despite the odds. God has plans for each of us. If there is something we are intended to do, no mortal human or natural cause can stop God from allowing us to do it. No matter how angry, determined, or afraid they are, no human is a match for the God of the universe. If He wills it, He will protect us and those we love. If there is something we are intended to do, no mortal human or natural cause can stop God from allowing us to do it. -@meganalms Share on X We are invincible until God is finished with us.  God has a purpose and a plan for each and every one of us. Personally, I have felt God’s call in several aspects of my life, from career to relationships to service. I have yet to complete many of the things I feel He has called me to. This leads me to believe that He is not finished with my time on earth yet, and will protect me from external harm. But if He decides that my mission has been fulfilled on earth, who am I to disagree? I don’t want to live in this world if God does not intend for me to be here. God knows the plans he Has for us. And His plans will be accomplished, no matter what. -@meganalms Share on X God’s will shall be done. No matter what, God’s will shall be done. Many reference Jeremiah 29:11 when they feel despair: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” This was originally written by the prophet Jeremiah to the exiles of Jerusalem, but I believe it can be applied to our various situations in the modern world. God knows the plans he Has for us. And His plans will be accomplished, no matter what. God has the complete ability to say “no” to our prayers. But He only does so according to His greater plan. Though I may fear some of the threats of the world, I do not fear that God does not know what He is doing. I trust Him to protect me and those I love so that we may follow His calling. Whatever happens, I know it will be according to the Lord’s plan.

She is forced to hide out in a safehouse, leaving her co-owner, Tandy, to run their coffee shop, track down the criminal, and, worse, plan Marissa’s wedding. Thankfully Tandy has help, but can she really trust the P.I. in a bow tie, her new deaf barista who acts more like a bartender, or a wedding planner who’s keeping secrets? The threat on Marissa’s future goes from bad to worse when her bridal gown is covered in blood. Though her fiancé, Connor, agrees to give up his identity to join her in the Witness Protection Program, Marissa refuses to wave the white flag.
