An Ode to My Readers
I met most of you on social media
You read my blogs and trivia
When my books came out,
You gave them clout
By writing reviews and spreading the news
Now I’m the one who’s singing your praises
For supporting me through my writing phases
And encouraging me with your prayers and posts
I thank you all—you are the most!!
──Gayla K. Hiss
A special thank you to the following reviewers:
“This is a debut novel from Gayla K. Hiss and I couldn’t put it down. Action, suspense, romance and fast paced storyline. Definitely an author to follow. I absolutely loved this book. I heard someone giving it a great review on a blog I was reading. I bought this book immediately and I don’t regret it.
Jenny Snowfeather is a Park Ranger and meets Deputy Marshal Chase Matthews at her brother’s backyard bbq. She finds out he is visiting her brother and hasn’t been completely honest to him about why he is really visiting his army buddy. His reason for being there seems to be connected with a sudden crime spree that has hit their usually crime free community. Then there is a kidnapping, an avalanche, cabins being broken into, guns and ammunition stolen. What do they have to do with Chase and his mission. Robberies, murder, kidnapping, avalanche – what else could you ask for in a suspense book? Add romance to the mix, testing of Jenny’s faith and the makings of a wonderful storyline.
No one asked me to read and review this book. All opinions are my own and I did buy this in ebook format. Definitely a keeper and best of all, its going to be a series. Will be buying any books that is published by this author. One of the best books I’ve read in awhile. Keep up the good work Gayla. You did good.”
—Pat G. Moore, for Avalanche
“Avalanche is a perfect balance of suspense, intrigue, romance with notes of faith throughout. There are many twists & turns that held my attention. I grew a fondness and appreciation for each character, particularly Jenny & Chase. I could easily relate to where they were in their Christian walk and how they used their faith to deal with circumstances that came their way. Additionally, Gayla Hiss beautifully described the Northwest settings, I felt like I was there. Gayla is a gifted the author and it was an absolute pleasure to read her work. I received a free copy in exchange my my honest review. “
